Micheel gladly settles for second
This is one time Shaun Micheel can live with second place. Three years after winning the PGA Championship, Micheel closed with a 3-under 69 on Sunday to finish at 13 under par. It was good, but not quite enough to catch Tiger Woods, who won by five shots at Medinah Country Club. Mike Weir and Geoff Ogilvy were the only ones on it Sunday afternoon at Medinah Country Club as they stroked their final putts in silence, looking like condemned convicts hoping for a reprieve. Their tee time was just minutes away. Their chances of winning the PGA Championship must have seemed a million miles away. Still, the starter was calling their names.
