I'm probably erring on the side of understatement when I say that Bob was a hacker. By his own admission he was: ?one of those players who've never really had a proper golf swing.?
The way he told it, his main concern was to give the ball a 'good whack'. As a result of his lack of technique, Bob had spent much of the ten years that he'd been a golfer searching for his ball in woods and long grass. High scores and a high handicap seemed to be his inevitable fate.
Bob and I first met when his employer asked me to coach him to develop his business and leadership skills. When we were working on 'communication' I used a technique that I call Mind-Movies. I taught Bob how to groove pictures into his imagination which showed him... |

?I have been working on my golf swing ever since I received your Power Pack. Every morning when I wake up the first thing I do is play my mind movie. I go through each frame of my golf swing the way you say in the book.?
?My local driving range do a special 'off-peak' offer of a hundred balls for the price of thirty from 07.30 to 09.00 Mondays to Fridays. So I drop by on the way to work and hit a few balls.?
?The other morning when I got to the driving range I did my warm-up exercises the way you say in the book, then I played my mind movie, addressed my ball and fired off a six iron. There's a small mound like a golf green with a flag on it 160 yards from the tee. My six iron screamed off the face of the club and landed... |

Golfing is one of the best exercises that you can do. I taught this fellow about ten years ago how to play golf. He had bypass surgery done on his heart, and his doctor told him to walk for exercise. So he asked me to teach him how to golf. He was a retired carpenter. Think about it for a second. There is 1760 yards in a mile. The average golf course is anywhere from 5000 yards to 6500 yards on some of the bigger courses, depending on which tee box you are playing from. They say the shortest distance between two points is in a straight line. Can you imagine the amount of walking you can do on any given course, if you?re not a straight hitter? Some golf courses make you take a golf cart because of the steep terrain.... |

The slice is probably one of the most common swing flaws for amateurs. It is an outside-to-inside swing path that creates side spin on the golf ball.
The side spin causes the ball to cut hard to the side, making it a very frustrating day on the course. It also seems to be one of the most difficult swing flaws to fix.
There have been hundreds of so-called golf training aids that guarantee to cure your slice. And I am sure we have all bought or thought about buying one of these gadgets after a frustrating day on the course.
Some of these golf-training aids do help you to cure your slice; others do not.
In addition to golf training aids, there have been countless articles written about the golf slice.... |
