Canete tops Joburb Open leaderboard |
Argentina's Ariel Canete topped the leaderboard at 12 under after nine holes when thunderstorms forced the suspension of third-round play Saturday in the Joburg Open.
Canete birdied three of his final four holes to take a one-stroke lead over South Africans Andrew McLardy and Hennie Otto. McLardy completed 11 holes Saturday, and Otto finished eight on the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club's East Course
The tournament is sanctioned by the European and Southern Africa tours.
