Clarke, Westwood captain's picks for Ryder |
Darren Clarke and Lee Westwood were chosen as captain's picks Sunday by Ian Woosnam and will play for Europe at the Ryder Cup.
Although Clarke missed this week's BMW International Open, he is soon to return to action after taking time off because of the death of his wife, Heather. He has entered the Madrid Masters, a European Tour event staged the week before the Ryder Cup.
The European team will defend the trophy against the United States at The K Club in Ireland from Sept. 22-24.
