It's a typical late August afternoon in Arizona: hot and steamy, looming threat of thunderstorms. Meanwhile, high school golfers are smacking balls on ranges, gearing up for yet another golf season starting this month. The Cactus High School girls golf team practices at our club, Sun City Country Club. Thankfully, our range is drenched with shade at 3 p.m. to offer relief from the intense sun.
