Twice in the past 35 years, golf-buddies 80-year-old Fred Satterwhite and 75-old-year Wally Glisson wanted to leave the city-run Deer Run Golf Club off Fort Eustis Boulevard in northern Newport News. But the two Williamsburg retirees stayed put. "The personnel is tops," Satterwhite said this week. "And the price keeps us here."
